Three days of gourmet food, wine and cooking
If you’ve ever wanted to be up close to the action on one of the nation’s many cooking shows, you’ll want to head to the National Convention Centre this February. The capital’s only convention space is hosting the 2018 Food and Wine Expo from 9-11 February.
Local talent will join Masterchef and My Kitchen Rules celebrity chefs for free cooking demonstrations on the main stage. Appearances include Master Chef & TV Host Ben Milbourne and 2016 My Kitchen Rules Winners Tasia & Gracia.
Expo day passes includes show entry, which gives you access to tastings, gourmet food & wine exhibitors, demonstrations from celebrity chefs and appreciation classes. A tasting glass can also be purchased on entry to sample all that the Food & Wine Expo has to offer. Children under 14 are free with a paying adult.
This year the expo features a celebrity dining room, with a full degustation with matched wines hosted by a celebrity MasterChef, and a cheese lavosh & wine masterclass, with cheese from the Smelly Cheese Shop served with lavosh from Kurrajong Kitchen, all paired with French wines from Bordeaux and Beyond.
