Food, wines and craft beer on offer at Commonwealth Park this December
Warm weather and food festivals seem to go hand in hand. This summer, over 10 days from 9-18 December, Canberra foodies can indulge at The Commons Street Feast in Commonwealth Park, where organisers will be hosting some of Australia’s best food trucks, artisan chefs, craft brewers and more.
Featured vendors include Gelato Messina, Bao Stop, Mary’s, Happy as Larry, Pialligo Estate, Smokin’ Grill BBQ, Melbourne Martini Bar, De Wafel, Ribbies, Rouge Wines Cellar Van, Mama Linh’s, The Grace Caravan, Sakura on Wheelz, Little Creatures, Batlow Cider, Shaw Wines, Capital Brewing Co, Pact Beer Co, Vutu, MEET, Bites On Wheels, Yalla Yalla, Kranksy Brothers, Thainabox, The One, Rolling Schnitzel, Big Birds & Burgers and more.
Canberra will be The Commons national debut feast, opening for dinner each night plus lunch on weekends from 12pm. The team behind the Commons has travelled across the nation on a mission to taste test every possible food truck, resulting in a line-up with more than 20 options on offer. Choices include everything from tacos to Brazilian BBQ, burgers to traditional Nepalese curries. Wine, martinis and craft beers will be available.
The Commons is a free event and is open to all ages, with licensed 18+ bar areas on site. Between 12pm and 3pm on both weekends, kids will be entertained by roaming performers, face painters and more.
Foodies can upgrade their Commons experience with a butler service available for hire. A limited number of servers will be on hand, with direct access to each of the restaurants, bars and food trucks to minimise your wait times, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the atmosphere while they take care of you. Bookings are required.
Daily bespoke events will take place across the ten days, including live performances, karaoke, masterclasses and tastings.
The Commons Street Feast is a cashless event: so remember to bring your debit or credit cards along with you as no cash will be accepted on site.
The hardest challenge at The Commons may be deciding where to start.
