Canberra event in support of the Camp Quality esCarpade 2017 for Aussie kids with cancer
Canberra’s classic car and motorbike owners have been invited to join together for a good cause, with the second Camp Quality Classic Cruise to be held on 10 September 2017.
Participants will meet at Mawson Playing Fields at 9am before departing on a cruise through Canberra, finishing at the lawns of Old Parliament House. All cars over 20 years old, club members, exotic vehicles, or motorcycles of any vintage are eligible to enter.
Members of the general public are encouraged to head down to Treasury Car Park in the afternoon to admire the classic and beautiful vehicles, enjoy a sausage sizzle, and get involved in childrens’ activities.
All money raised will go towards Camp Quality esCarpade 2017, a week-long motoring journey to support children and families affected by cancer. The Camp Quality charity also organises and funds experiences such as zoo trips, Disney concerts and holiday retreats, providing families with a welcome time-out from the stresses of treatment. They also provide in-hospital support and fund Child Life Therapists who teach children strategies to cope with their illness.
The minimum entry requirement is $50 for cars and $25 for motorcycles, but in what is sure to get the competitive juices flowing, the order of cruise pack will be determined by the amount of funds raised.
